During a July 1, 2026 press conference updating U.S. efforts against the Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua, FBI Director Kash Patel said the FBI and partners have arrested 29,000 violent gang members since President Trump was sworn in, and disrupted and dismantled 2,700 gangs around the country.
