Watch as Rep. Stansbury interviews journalist Katie Phang about the Epstein investigation and her lawsuit seeking greater transparency from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Phang discusses the missing FBI interview notes from four interviews with a 13-year-old girl who accused Donald Trump of assault, which she says were turned over to Ghislaine Maxwell’s defense team and federal prosecutors but have not been included in the Epstein files released by the DOJ.
The conversation also examines redacted Epstein documents, investigative leads involving alleged co-conspirators, evidence collected by investigators, and claims that survivors who reported crimes to the FBI decades ago should not have to repeatedly retell their stories while key records remain unavailable.
Phang explains why she filed her lawsuit under the Epstein Files Transparency Act and argues that an independent special master could help determine whether documents have been improperly withheld or redacted.
Note: The interview also discusses Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files.
