Three people were killed, and seven others were injured before the suspect was stopped. Investigators say the quick response from the two armed individuals diverted the shooter before law enforcement officers arrived.
Twin Falls County Sheriff Jack Johnson praised their actions during a news conference.
“These people are true heroes in our community, and their actions diverted the shooter and no doubt saved many lives,” Johnson said.
Speaking with The National News Desk, former FBI Special Agent in Charge and former Chicago Police Department Superintendent Jody Weis said the incident underscores how quickly active shooter situations unfold.
