Ten years after the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed, a British inquest reopened the questions surrounding the crash in Paris. A jury was asked to assess the evidence, competing claims and unresolved issues that had shaped public debate since 1997.
Newly released CCTV footage from the Ritz reconstructs Diana’s final hours in detail, including her movements with Dodi, the role of Henri Paul, the departure plan and the decision to leave through the rear entrance.
The inquest also considered Henri Paul’s alcohol level, the paparazzi, the white Fiat Uno, possible security service involvement, Diana’s fears for her life, and claims about pregnancy or an engagement. Operation Paget and earlier French findings are weighed alongside testimony from former associates, investigators and journalists.
Through the evidence presented to the jury, the film returns to the central question the inquest was created to answer: what caused the deaths of Diana and Dodi?
